Haunted houses.

I love telling stories at circle time. As you can see, I'm one of those "recycling teachers" who love to use random things in a classroom. That and we have a strict budget haha. Often I get a cardboard box and just "go with it".

Recently, we have heap load of toddlers who joined our classroom.  We had to get back to the basics -- felt stories!

I didn't want to make it too spooky this year.  From the votes, ghosts were apparently the most spookiest of them all!

The Holidays are over!

I've been cheating on crafts with furniture.

Sixcranberries has become more of an interior designer than a felt story maker. My hubby and I have just bought our first town home and we are happy to say that we are home owners!!

I must admit, I don't have much time as I use to. I have put away my felt materials and left this hobby for a little while. I don't mind sharing my everyday job displays. I find myself leaking the extra creativity on simple projects for everyday uses.

During the holidays, the preschoolers were bored with the same ol' activities. When they get bored, I start making things out of boxes. Boxes seem to never disappoint. Especially from my last post with the ponies. That box has been thrown out from all the over-use!

I've made a house. Gingerbread house to be exact. This time the kids decorated the box and placed little gingerbread people in there. It lasted for 4 weeks, but I think it's time for another new activity!

my job.

I made this "Pony House" for those dear little ponies who roam around the daycare without a home.

This box lasted 3 months! It's breaking apart right now, but it's still standing!

Sometimes I go to work super early.
How early? Well, I'm too embarassed to say.
I hate to admit it, but I truly love what I do at work. It's very soothing and it exercises my many interests. I feel like I have a family there. Furthermore, I have the most amazing co-workers that I work with everyday. Just yesterday, my partner in crime baked me her famous Banana Chocolate Chip loaf (which, of course, I shared it with the other ladies!). I don't want to get too sappy. So, here's the end of it:

I love children.
I love to paint.
I love to decorate.
I love to bake.
I love to cook.
I love to make that super-gummy-bubble solution just to see a crack of smile.

I like to come home feeling I made a difference each and everyday.

Game of Thrones

I know this is completely out of the usual.

But, I have taken a pause on felt stories and have moved onto bigger projects. This preschool teacher has more to do than to work on stories for story time.

I've been really into this tv show on HBO. Game of Thrones! My top notch addiction at the moment. My friend a litre of sunshine and I decided to randomly have a dress-up night.
...and then things started to blossom. I had this itch to make a throne myself. Afterall, it's something I've always wanted to do.

I think I'm nearly done. But now my livingroom has no space to place this massive piece of furniture. Season 4 is about to end soon and I hope I could make some good use out of it before I send it away! Anyone interested?
